The Supernatural

I want any who find my blog to give it a chance. Some people would see the topic and dismiss it instantly. If you could read my article and at least take it into consideration, I would appreciate it very much. My goal would be complete. All I really want you to do is think about the possibilities, if not believing in this sort of thing. I do not recommend trying to manipulate energy without someone more experienced close by, however. Do not mess with the dead, either. They like their rest, and tend to be vengeful. Not everyone can do what I can, so do not expect to be able to manipulate energy. It’s an inborn ability, not a learned trick.

Moving on, I have a closet. It looks sort of like a wardrobe, and stands on the edge of my room. It has two doors leading to two different sides with one large shelf above where the clothes go. On one side, I have all of my shirts hanging up. On the other side, I have my pants, shorts, socks, and boxers, along with my pajamas and some gym shorts from high school that most likely don’t fit anymore.

It seems to have some sort of attraction to supernatural beings. On two separate occasions, I have noticed a supernatural being, different each time. One of the beings I saw looked something like a crouching demon. His wings were folded behind his back. His elbows were resting on his knees with his arms almost folded between his legs. This being appeared right above my closet-wardrobe hybrid thing, almost on the corner of it but a little bit off to the side, floating in the air. He wanted to kill me for some reason, but did not make a move. I went to sleep and it disappeared.

A few nights later, I witnessed another being coming from near my closet. This one was smaller, resembling a goblin of sorts. It held no weapon, but had malice towards me. As it moved towards me, I sent out a mental message telling it to come get me if it wanted me, and filled myself with a power. Instead, it backed off and disappeared. I haven’t seen it since.

The other being that seems to get a little stronger near my closet is my guardian. It is, for lack of a better word, a powerful demon. It guards me for unconfirmed reasons, and I don’t know if I will ever be able to fully figure it out. However, he can speak to me mentally at times. He cannot normally contact me, except through emotion.

Related to supernatural beings is my ability to manipulate energy. Because of me embracing this ability, I “see” beings that technically should not be here. I say “see” because the beings cannot actually be seen. They are sensed. As far as I know, if you cannot manipulate energy, you cannot sense them, nor can they harm you in any way.

These beings, though, can harm me through mental, or possibly physical, means. I have ways to protect myself, and my guardian helps out a lot. He can do things I cannot. His emotions tell me what he thinks or senses. Because he is a supernatural being himself, he is much better at sensing others, and can do so far more accurately than I can.

One being was coming after me, but my guardian sensed it when the being got close. Instead of warning it, my guardian filled himself with my power and his, and got really, really pissed. The other being disappeared almost instantly. I can sense his emotions when he wants me to, but if they’re really strong, I feel the emotion. It pours over into me a bit, but I can control it well enough.

Nothing too exciting has been happening recently, but hell, maybe I’ll update if something does happen. If so, I’ll let anyone who’s interested know. Just post a comment if you’d like me to keep you updated.

Walking in my Boots

Whether it is the perfect red high heels to go with your favorite party dress or your shiny black shoes you wore with your tuxedo to your senior prom, you need to wear the right shoes for the right occasion. My favorite pair of shoes, which I wear most of the time, helps me get down and dirty when I need to. My cowboy boots are one of a kind.

I want to inform people that cowboy boots are not just a fashion trend. I do think they would look cute with the perfect outfit but they serve other purposes. They have the right pressure points in the sole to give you the perfect foot position for a good ride and are comfortable enough to wear everyday.

My boots, originally a dark chestnut color with black rubber soles, are now stained with shur-hoof (a tar used for horses’ hooves), paint, horse manure, and water marks. The boots come up about two inches past my ankle. They lace up on the front with striped black and brown laces like tennis shoes and are tied with a double knot to avoid them coming loose. They are broken in to fit my foot after four years of wear and tear.

I wrote about my boots because every time I go to the farm, I have them on. I wear them when I am cleaning the stalls, walking in the field, and when I am in the saddle riding in the arena.

The boots are designed for work around the farm because they provide a steel toe to prevent injuries. With horses weighing between 700 to 1500 pounds, this feature comes in handy. There have been numerous times when a horse has stepped on my foot and the only thing that kept my foot from being broken was the boot.

Horses are a part of my everyday life and seeing my muddy boots sitting next to the dresser makes me look forward to going to the farm tomorrow. The fit of my boots and the work I do at the farm takes away my everyday stress. It gives me a chance to break away from life to spend time at a place and with animals that mean a lot to me.

Getting more mud from the farm on my boots on the weekend is just like having two tickets for Friday night for the best concert of the year. It is something that takes me out of the reality of life and gives me a chance to be who I want to be and relax and let off the stress.

Everyone needs that something to keep them motivated. If your life is just school and home, you’re not going to have that much fun. But when you have a hobby that you can look forward to, it keeps you going. It is so important to have that outlet for all your built up problems. I am reminded of my outlet by my boots. What’s yours?
